I refuse to watch Michael Moore movies. My roommate owns Sicko, and a two-minute look at the back cover summary showed me just what kind of “documentary” maker this guy is. Documentaries my eye. Enjoy the video.
I don’t get Moore. He claims to hate capitalism so much, yet uses and profits from it so much. He’s a hypocrite, I know, but how can a guy be so blatant about it? Why do people buy his movies? Oh, and the layover in Atlanta coming back from Guatemala was pure torture. CNN or ESPN was on every TV. CNN was on the TVs at our gate. They had some dumb liberal thing followed by Michael Moore on Larry King. My dad got a real kick out of watching me squirm (he’s a little more desensitized to all this).
On an unrelated note, here’s the awesome phone call Rush got on Wednesday. Here’s the transcript.
I’ve actually seen some large Mexicans, but I don’t know if they were mixed or not… large Guatemalans, now there’s a myth. The tallest Guatemalan is right around seven feet. That’s tall, sure, but that’s the tallest person in Guatemala! The average Guatemalan is under five feet tall.
Oh, and for those of you who are like me and don’t have / don’t watch TV, that last bit was a reference to The O’Reilly Factor or some nonsense, according to the comment thread on this video at IMAO.
Since I put up that long thing on healthcare yesterday, it occurred to me to put up Crowder’s video on the subject. Not only does he make excellent points, but keep in mind that Crowder grew up in Canada, the liberals’ golden model of what healthcare should be. Anyway, here you go:
You know, Crowder did a short video a while back where he searched and searched for a “good” liberal and couldn’t find one. By “liberal,” I mean a liberal politician, not a liberal voter. There are plenty of “good” liberal voters who are just misinformed or apathetic or haven’t thought things through all the way. There are also some who are just plain dumb, which is not necessarily “bad” (in the evil sense), just unfortunate. Anyway, neither could I. The closest I can come up with is Abraham Lincoln, who might be considered “liberal” in the sense that he increased the size and power of the federal government. But, in his defense, increasing the government was a by-product, not his true intention. His intention was to keep the Union intact. While I may not agree with that wholeheartedly, I do think that his heart was in the right place. Anyone got anything better?
I’ve just finished setting up the YouTube channel for this blog. It’s not complete yet, but I hope to get pretty much every YouTube video that I link to on this channel (mainly so I have control so URLs don’t move). You can also find subscriptions to subscribe to like MachoSauceProductions, Steven Crowder, and HowTheWorldWork.
Waterboarding is not torture. Stop acting like it is. Crowder points out that we even use it on our own men in training.
Reaganlives put up a good article on the subject. The dude’s got a lot more drive for writing than I do. And he’s actually done some serious research into the subject.
Rightwingers shouldn’t be allowed to have this much fun with what they do:
Anyway, I think Crowder is missing a very important distinction here. Obama isn’t talking to us like we’re four years old. He’s talking to us like he’s four years old. Which, from a speaking ability standpoint, isn’t far from the truth.
